Richmond RCMP say a female cyclist has died as the result of her injuries as a result of an accident yesterday afternoon.
The accident happened at Russ Baker Way & Gilbert Road around 4 p.m. Tuesday. The cyclist was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she died a short time later.
The area was closed for several hours while police investigated the scene of the accident.
Police say the driver is cooperating with investigation but have not said if speed or alcohol were factors in the accident.
The victim’s name has not been released.
