A construction worker has been taken to hospital after the trench he was working in, collapsed around him on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency crews responded to the work site just before 1 p.m. at 15751 104 Ave.

The worker was helping to install a sewer line at a property.
There are conflicting reports about the man’s condition. BC Ambulance Service says he was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, while Surrey Fire says he had minor injuries.
No word on what caused the collapse. WorkSafeBC is investigating.
