CALGARY – Grab your bathing suit – an enormous slip-and-slide is coming to Calgary.
The 300 meter-long waterslide is part of a travelling event called Slide the City.
Organizers are visiting cities across the U.S. and Canada to host family-friendly water parties featuring ‘the biggest slip-and-slide ever to hit asphalt.’
The soapy wet vinyl is padded underneath to make it safer and more comfortable.
Officials encourage participants to come dressed to impress – and bring water balloons and water guns.
The date for the Calgary event hasn’t been released yet – but the Slide the City website has it listed under a heading that says ‘December 2014.’
There’s no word if this perhaps means the city will be getting a lengthy tobogganing hill instead of a waterslide.
Calgary is the only city in Alberta which will host a Slide the City event.
The first-ever Slide the City event was held recently in Salt Lake City, Utah.
There were 3,000 tickets available and the event sold out.
