3 tornadoes touch down in Manitoba

WINNIPEG – Three tornadoes touched down in Manitoba Saturday, Environment Canada says.

Two tornadoes briefly touched own near Waterhen, east of Swan River on Lake Winnipegosis, at about 1 p.m., the weather agency said.

The third touched down in La Salle at 7:30 p.m.

No damage was reported.

Environment Canada issued a funnel cloud advisory Saturday and confirmed two reports of funnel cloud sightings.

The first was spotted just after 3 p.m. north of the Portage Diversion at the south end of Lake Manitoba, and the other was reported from Dufront at 8:15 p.m.
