The warnings ended in the southwest and much of the region as the storm passed over.

In the northeast, tornado watches are still in effect in Gogama, Kirkland Lake, New Liskeard, Temagami and North Bay.
The storm dumped torrential rain across the region and caused sporadic power outages.
In Toronto, the CNE closed early and rain caused havoc with Toronto FC’s CONCACAF Champions League game with FC Dallas at the BMO field on the exhibition grounds.
The game was first halted because of the threat of lightning, the second half was then delayed by rain and then the fans were asked to evacuate the stadium and take shelter elsewhere.
Forecasters say radar shows strong to severe thunderstorms moving eastward across southern Ontario.
The storms are also capable of producing damaging winds and large hail.
