A high profile Surrey broadcaster has pleaded not guilty to aggravated assault and weapons offenses related to a shooting incident four years ago.
In August 2010, gunfire erupted at a large wedding at Surrey’s Guru Nanak temple.
The shots hit developer Harjinder Singh Atwal in the leg.
The crown alleges that Maninder Gill, a host and managing director at Radio India, fired the gun.
On the stand yesterday, Atwal testified that there had been bad blood between the two men in the months leading up to the wedding.
There were also two altercations.
He has now recovered fully from his injuries.
Gill is facing seven charges in connection to the incident.
He is expected to take the stand in his own defence.
