VANCOUVER – A 70-year-old North Vancouver man was knocked down by what police are calling “an out-of-control” skateboarder.
The elderly man’s wrist and forearm was broken in four places when he fell.
This occurred at about 9 p.m. on July 14 in the 100-block of west 15 Street.
Police say the man had just crossed the alleyway when the skateboarder, coming out of the alley, lost control on the speed bumps. The boarder collided with the man, knocking him down, and after issuing a “trite apology” the young person fled.
Police would like to talk the skateboarder who is described as about 16 years old, Caucasian, 5’8 tall, wearing a red shirt, white shorts and a helmet.
