Jokinen agreeing to a one year contract that will pay him a reported 2.5 million dollars. A huge cut in pay after Jokinen earned $4.5 million with the Jets the last 2 seasons. Jokinen is now 35 years old and scored 18 goals with 25 assists in 82 games with the Jets last season.

The Jets only other UFA Devin Setoguchi is still looking for a new contract but it won’t be with the Jets.
