UPDATE: The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has arrested 42-year-old Dustin Barry Anderson for the murder of 33-year-old Shaunce Poirier. Anderson is known to police and faces one count of 2nd degree murder.
IHIT was supported by the Surrey RCMP, Nanaimo RCMP, RCMP’s E Division Support Services, RCMP’s Forensic Identification Section, RCMP’s Police Dog Service, and the RCMP’s Island District Emergency Response Team,” says Sergeant Bari EMAM of IHIT.
Poirier was a resident of Surrey at the time of his death and was known to police.
