VERNON — Vernon RCMP may be dealing with another arson.
The latest incident happened shortly after midnight Monday at Chapman Construction on 25th where a small wooden structure was set on fire.
Crews were able to extinguish the blaze before it spread.
A police dog was called to the scene but didn’t pick up a scent.
There have been more than a dozen arson fires in the Vernon area in recent months.
The most recent was in front of the Vernon courthouse where someone tried to set a sheriff’s vehicle on fire.
A person of interest was caught on camera at the scene. Police have put out a public appeal in an attempt to identify the man.
