Mike’s Monday Outlook: Dry up, Winnipeg

Winnipeg will dry out in the first half of this week but rain returns Thursday and Friday. Global News

If you think you haven’t seen this much rain in a long time, you’re probably right. The weekend totals for Winnipeg were up at 70 mm. That’s a lot! One of the closest recent comparison is the combined rainfall for the entire month of July 2013, when the airport registered 80 mm, Environment Canada says.

It’s easy to improve on the conditions from the weekend. The first half of the week will be a nice bounce back from the soaking as temperatures will slowly creep up into the mid- then high 20s. The end of the week looks like a return to unsettled weather but not to the extent we just saw.
