WATCH: Trailer debuts for B.C.-made Seth Rogen film ‘The Interview’

TORONTO — A trailer for the made-in-B.C. action-comedy The Interview — starring homegrown actor Seth Rogen — debuted Wednesday.

Rogen plays the producer of a popular celebrity TV show called Skylark Tonight who plans to travel to North Korea with the show’s host, played by James Franco, to interview leader Kim Jong-un.

Everything changes, though, when they are recruited by the CIA to assassinate the dictator.

The Interview was filmed late last year in and around Vancouver, which stood in for North Korea. It was directed by Rogen and his creative partner (and fellow Vancouver native) Evan Goldberg.

Rogen and Franco previously starred together in last year’s This is The End and 2008’s Pineapple Express.

The Interview is due in theatres in October.
