Calgary man charged in high speed ride down the QEII

A dangerous ride on the QEII north of Calgary on Monday night has landed a motorcyclist in serious trouble.

At around 10 p.m., RCMP in Airdrie were alerted by several callers who dialed 911. When officers went to check out the complaint, they clocked the motorcyclist at 197 kilometres per hour near Crossfield.

A 21-year-old man from Calgary was arrested at the scene.

He’s now facing a string of charges including dangerous driving, driving without insurance and failing to produce an operator’s license.
