CALGARY- It was a frightening scene for some drivers during Monday’s commute home, after a man fleeing police drove the wrong way down busy city streets.
Police were called to the 4100 block of 126 Ave. S.E. around 4 p.m., after a man allegedly stole from a grocery store. The suspect refused to pull over for police, instead driving erratically at a high rate of speed.
At one point, he drove the stolen vehicle into oncoming traffic and onto a sidewalk, even heading west on eastbound Memorial Drive.
