Premier Brad Wall was in Saskatoon for the official grand opening of the first privately owned liquor store in the province. Wall helped Co-Op members cut the ribbon on the liquor store, which has been open a few months. Saskatoon Co-Op was one of three private retailers selected to open new liquor stores.
That decision has been criticized by the NDP. They passed a resolution during this weekend’s party convention against privatization. Monday at the ribbon cutting the Premier fired back – and then the war of words continued on social media.
