EDMONTON – A man was sent to hospital Wednesday morning after being stabbed at a south Edmonton motel.

Police say the 21-year-old victim got into an altercation at the Derrick Motel on Gateway Blvd. when he was stabbed.

His injuries are not life threatening and he is reportedly cooperating with police.

Officers say the suspects fled prior to their arrival.

By late Wednesday afternoon, the EPS said one suspect had been identified but not located.
