CALGARY – Transit users aboard a Calgary bus got quite the scare on Thursday afternoon.
Police surrounded the vehicle as it travelled through the community of Bowness, after a witness reported seeing a passenger board the bus with a crossbow in hand.

They say there are allegations he was pointing it at people.
Officers took two men from the bus into custody.
Police say 42-year-old Kevin James Anderson has been charged with possession of a weapon or imitation dangerous to the public.
Crossbows are not prohibited weapons, so there are currently no regulations in place around their transportation.
The crossbow was not loaded.
