CALGARY- Albertans are being warned to use caution when buying items online, after arrests were made related to stolen property on Kijiji.
Airdrie RCMP and the Calgary Police Service arrested two people for fraud and possession, after stolen items were sold through the popular buy and sell site. It’s believed the property was stolen from homes in Airdrie, Chestermere and Spruce Grove.
Most of the items have since been returned to their owners.
25-year-old Peter Ashby of Spruce Grove faces 12 charges, while 22-year-old Jessica Riley of Calgary faces 14 charges. Both are scheduled to appear in court later this month.
