The song is based on the iconic National Film Board short film The Sweater, which tells the story of Roch Carrier’s most embarrassing childhood moment, when he was forced to wear a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey when all his friends were wearing Maurice “Rocket” Richard’s number 9 Montreal Canadiens hockey jersey.
