TORONTO — Wednesday night’s revelations about Toronto Mayor Rob Ford and his announcement that he is taking a leave of absence to seek treatment sparked a Twitter frenzy.
Late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, who has feasted on the Ford fiasco for months, tweeted his hope that Ford gets “the help he obviously needs.”
And while there should be nothing funny about the mayor of Canada’s largest city stepping down to deal with his personal demons, a public weary of Ford’s behaviour took to social media to weigh in with humour and sarcasm.
