The remains of a person was found following a mobile home fire early this morning in Mission.
According to Mission RCMP Sgt. Shaun Wright, fire and rescue responded to a mobile park at 32300 Lougheed Highway around 5 a.m. and found the trailer engulfed.
After an hour, fire crews searched the trailer and found the remains of one person inside.
Investigators are at the scene but it’s currently unknown what caused the fire.
Due to the extent of the damage to the mobile home, Wright said, the investigation is moving slowly.
An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow.
