Ben MacDonald / Global News

HALIFAX – Police are investigating the second violent break-in in Highfield Park in as many days.

Around 5:50 p.m. Monday, police said two men were robbed at gunpoint at their apartment on Highfield Park Drive in Dartmouth.

According to the men, aged 19 and 20, they heard a knock at their door and answered to find two men, one of them brandishing a firearm.

The men entered the apartment and demanded electronics, eventually leaving with a laptop, cellphone, and video games. Neither of the victims were injured during the robbery.

The first suspect is described as black man, in his twenties, with an average height and build.

According to police, he was wearing a black toque with a “BOSS” insignia on it and a black sweater with graphics on it.

The second suspect is also described as white, in his twenties with average height and build. Police say he has short blondish hair and was wearing a grey hoodie with a blue vest over it at the time of the incident.

At this point Halifax Regional Police do believe it to be a random act and could possibly be drug-related.

Police are also investigating a break and enter in the same neighbourhood.  On Sunday, a woman was pepper-sprayed during a break-in at her apartment on Crystal Drive.
