TORONTO — Pop star Miley Cyrus was hospitalized Tuesday following an allergic reaction to medication.
The singer was scheduled to perform a concert in Kansas City on Tuesday night.
A statement from the venue in Kansas City said Cyrus “has been hospitalized for a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics and has been placed on medical rest by her doctors.”

Cyrus tweeted: “Kansas I promise I’m as heartbroken as you are. I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night. Not being with y’all makes me feel sh**ier than I already do.”
Cyrus, who is currently on her Bangerz tour, tweeted Monday that she was feeling sick.
The 21-year-old star cancelled an April 7 concert in Charlotte, North Carolina due to illness.
