Off the air!!

April 8, 2014 Every now and then we fall victim to technical difficulties that are beyond our control. Such was the case yesterday when there were some glitches that forced us to go to a plan B for our 6pm newscast. We were unable to run the scheduled Scene & Heard segment and I wasn’t able to do my regular weather cast. Not being a technical guy I can’t explain what happened but I can confirm that it wasn’t because rats gnawed on our TV cables. The situation was resolved in a couple of hours and we’re now back to normal. So the Spamalot segment with George Gallant and Derek Stevenson will run tonight as will the segment with Chris Fujita on hospital volunteering. We’ll also add an interview about the Collage of the Arts put on by Wilson school. This year they are presenting the Sharon Peat-written version of Hansel & Gretel. Interesting side note: director Drew Andreachuk had Sharon as a teacher a few years ago. We also talked to Carson Tomiyama and Trinity Alles who play the lead characters. Drew and I were both in Les Miserables last year and for some reason we decided that whenever we would talk to each other we would talk like Russell Brand. And so we did that today. I think we were freaked out Carson a little.
