A jury is deliberating the fate of a Vancouver woman accused of killing her two newborn children.

Sarah Leung is charged with second degree murder. The babies were born a year apart at Leung’s home and then thrown away in plastic bags.

She hid her pregnancies from her family because she was reportedly afraid of how they would react to the news.

Her lawyers say she should be found guilty of the lesser charge of infanticide, saying she did not intend to kill the babies.
