WHITBY, Ont. – A Pickering, Ont., man is facing numerous charges in connection with allegations that a woman was sexually assaulted and forced to be a sex worker.
Durham regional police say an 18-year-old woman contacted them with allegations that she had been forced into the sex trade and violently assaulted.
After an investigation into the allegations, a man was arrested.
Daryn Leung, 25, is charged with trafficking in persons, receiving financial or other material benefit from trafficking a person and procuring,
He’s also charged with three counts of sexual assault, uttering threats, theft under $5,000, assault and assault causing bodily harm.
