It was a tense situation for a pilot at the Vernon airport this morning around 11:30 a.m.
The operator of a private two engine plane apparently had some problems with the landing gear, forcing the pilot to land the plane on the grass beside the runway around 11:30.
The pilot was uninjured.
No official word yet on the incident from the airport or other authorities.
