Sexual offender being released into Edmonton area

EDMONTON – Edmonton police are warning about the release of a high-risk offender.

Andrew Lyle Carrigan, 44, has completed a three-and-a-half year sentence at the Bowden Institution for distribution of child pornography, and breach of probation.

He’s considered by police to be a sexual offender who poses a risk of significant harm to the community.

Police say Carrigan will be residing in the Edmonton area, where he’ll be monitored closely by the EPS Behavioural Assessment Unit.

He’s described as being 5′ 11″ tall, weighing 225 lbs, with blue eyes and brown hair.
