Google announces new features to search by voice, image on computers - image

Google has announced some new search features, including the ability to search on a computer by voice or image.

Google has been experimenting with searching by voice on its mobile platform and will soon roll out the feature for desktops.

Mobile users are now dictating the equivalent of two years of non-stop speech every day into Google Voice Search.

Google says their new picture search feature will be released to users in the days ahead.

To search by image, a user can upload a photo or drag it onto Google’s website to initiate a query.

A vacation photo might return search results about the location in that picture, while submitting a logo would display company information.
