CALGARY – A judge has declared a mistrial in the case of a prominent Calgary psychiatrist accused of sexual assault.
Aubrey Levin was first tried in 2012 on nine counts of sexually assaulting patients.
He was sentenced to five years in jail after a jury convicted him of sexually assaulting three men.

A mistrial was declared on four other charges.
Earlier this month, a new trial got underway for two of those counts.
After 12 hours of deliberations, the jury sent a note to the judge on Thursday saying they were unable to reach a verdict.
The judge asked them to keep trying, but the jury came back again on Friday morning saying they were indeed deadlocked.
Levin has appealed his convictions from the first trial, but a decision on that has not yet been released.
