WolfCop debuts new film poster with Regina reference

The new WolfCop poster was revealed Monday, and it boasts a Regina reference. Can you spot it?.

The movie “WolfCop” has a brand new poster to show off, and there’s a Regina shout-out on it.

The artwork debuted online Monday. In the bottom right hand corner one of the characters is drinking a Mus Knuckle, brewed right here in Regina at District Brewing Company.

“WolfCop” won last year’s CineCoup contest. It’s a national competition where filmmakers submit a concept and a movie trailer, and then compete on social media to get their film made.

The Saskatchewan creators won the $1 million prize, and the movie is hitting theatres Canada-wide on June 6th.

It was shot here in Saskatchewan, and the filmmakers tell Global News they have some very local references in the script.

The comedy-horror flick follows a werewolf who is a cop by day. The film writer says he draws inspiration from flicks like “American Werewolf in London” and, “Scream”.
