Residents stocking up on water in Lethbridge

Residents in Lethbridge are stocking up on bottled water as the city remains in a state of emergency after a boil water advisory was issued by officials Wednesday afternoon.

Staff at several local grocery stores have told Global News they can’t keep up with the demand for bottled water.

Most stores had signs in their windows by Wednesday evening saying they were sold out of water but say they will have more in-stock.

City officials are also reminding retailers that price gouging is illegal during a state of emergency. They are asking anyone who is a victim of this to email them at: communications@lethbridge.ca
