TORONTO — Canadian musician Matthew Good and NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. are helping raise funds for a family that can’t afford to bury their baby.
“No parent should have to bury a child,” Good wrote on his website. “Even more, no parent should be unable to bury a child because of the cost involved. It is, to me, an outrageous reality of our society.”

Good, 42, said his wife Raeleigh’s friend lost her 7-month-old to sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and can’t afford the $5,000 cost for a burial.
The Juno-winning rocker has launched an online fundraising drive and is offering the most generous donors autographed records, limited edition vinyl and lithograph prints.
Earnhardt Jr. is offering autographed memorabilia, including a 2014 replica helmet, die cast cars, Daytona 500 T-shirts and hats.
One day after posting his plea, Good has raised more than $2,400.
“If more can be raised, all the better,” said the B.C.-based musician and father of three.
According to the Canadian Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths, SIDS is the No. 1 cause of death for healthy infants under the age of one in Canada.
