Two people were lucky to escape unhurt after a fire destroyed a home in the North Okanagan.
Fire crews responded to a house on Trinity Valley Road in the Enderby area around 4:30 am Wednesday.
By the time firefighters arrived on the scene, the building was engulfed in flames.
Fire officials say there was little they could do to save the house.
The occupants had seen the smoke and fled the house.
The fire was so hot it melted parts of a truck and a trailer about 30 feet away.
The fire chief says the cause was likely electrical and they are not treating it as suspicious.
