Pedestrian injured following hit and run in Halifax

HALIFAX – Police are looking for a driver following a hit and run in Halifax.

Around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, a 30-year-old man was crossing Adelaide Avenue near Birch Street when he was knocked over by a vehicle.

The driver then left the scene without speaking to the victim.

The victim was taken to the QEII Health Sciences Centre with non-life threatening injuries.

Police describe the suspect as a white man in his 30s who is said to be driving a dark-coloured, four-door Hyundai.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police or Crimestoppers.
