Bail denied for bouncer charged with assaulting Gregory MacIntosh

SASKATOON – A nightclub bouncer charged with aggravated assault was denied bail in a Saskatoon courtroom on Friday.

Scott Russell Denny, 33, was charged at the end of February after he allegedly assaulted Gregory ‘Myles’ MacIntosh on a pub-crawl bus after MacIntosh was asked to leave Outlaws just before midnight during his bachelor party on Feb. 1.

Police believe MacIntosh, 28, then got off the bus near the intersection of Lorne Avenue and 8th Street shortly after the assault.

A witness then reported seeing a man fall into the South Saskatchewan River around 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 2.

A search of the river failed to turn up a body however a blood sample found on the ice matched that of MacIntosh’s.

Denny is scheduled to be back in court on March 12.
