REGINA – Saskatchewan now has two correctional facilities to house women awaiting their court dates.
The White Birch Remand Centre on the grounds of the Paul Dojack Youth Centre in Regina’s west end will hold women in remand who have court dates in southern Saskatchewan.

The unit at Paul Dojack had been vacant but had to undergo nearly two million dollars worth of renovations in order to house the adult prisoners.
The facility can house up to 18 women at once. It’s already reached half capacity since opening last week.
