River Landing lookouts are closed to the public due to the increasing river flows in the South Saskatchewan River.
Residents should obey the barricades and exercise extreme caution while walking on riverbank trails as high water flows may cause hazardous and rapidly changing conditions.
Officials have closed the public boat launches in an effort to discourage boating activity on the river while the flows are high.
Currently, the river flows are over 1,000 cubic-metres-per-second which are approximately five times the normal flows for this time of year.
Saskatoon Fire & Protective Services is urging the public to stay away from the river, and is advising against boating or any other activity on the South Saskatchewan River until further notice.
