WINNIPEG – A 31-year-old man was robbed while skiing at The Forks on Sunday night.
The man was skiing on the river at the popular tourist attraction when he was accosted by three men who who tried to steal his wallet at around 7 p.m., police said.
He was stabbed in the upper body but broke free and fled to safety, police said. He was taken to Health Sciences Centre with minor injuries.
Police found three suspects in the area. A 23-year-old man has been charged with robbery and is being held at the Winnipeg Remand Centre; a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old have been charged with robbery and released on a promise to appear in court.
