RCMP have arrested a soldier from CFB Shilo, and he is now facing charges of Possession of Child Pornography and Accessing Child Pornography.
Members of the Internet Child Exploitation Unit executed a search warrant at a home on the base near Brandon, Manitoba on May 16, and seized a computer and computer equipment.
On June 2, they arrested 30-year-old Corporal Adam Frederick Bryan-Pulham and charged him with Possession of Child Pornography and Accessing Child Pornography.
Lori Truscott, a spokesperson for the base, says Bryan-Pulham is a vehicle driver in Shilo’s Transport Section, and has nine years of service in the military, all of it at the army base in western Manitoba. He has been on one five-month tour of duty in Afghanistan.
In an email to Global News, Truscott said the alleged offenses “did not involve the use of any military computer systems.”
Bryan-Pulham lives on the base, and is now performing administrative duties. Truscott says: “The Base Commander has taken additional measures to restrict his movements on Base due to the nature of the charges against him and in accordance with the conditions of his release from police custody.”
