Work to improve safety on the Stanley Park Causeway is getting underway.
The improvements come after the death of a cyclist last spring.

The 61-year-old woman collided with a pedestrian on a sidewalk last May, falling into the path of an oncoming bus.
She was killed instantly.
The first step will be to assess the existing infrastructure and topography to determine which areas could be made safer for cyclists and pedestrians.
Traffic is not expected to be disrupted by the work.
