LUMBY B.C. – After an exhaustive search effort, a pair of missing snowmobilers was located in the north Okanagan back country Sunday morning.
The men lost their way near Finlayson Lake at around 10 p.m. Saturday night during an intense snow storm, and after nearly 12 hours of searching in white-out blizzard conditions, Vernon Search and Rescue was able to locate them.

The two men were wet, cold and hungry when crews found them, but other than that, unharmed. The men, between the ages of 40 and 50, were able to build a fire and find shelter overnight.
It was a joint effort between multiple search and rescue teams and a pair of helicopters helping overhead.
