The Canadian short-track speedskating team continued to struggle at the Winter Olympics on Saturday as short track champions Charles Hamelin and Marianne St. Gelais both failed to qualify.

Later in the day Denny Morrison provided a bright spot for Canada winning a bronze in the 1,500m (his second medal of the Olympics) and increased Canada’s medal count to 12.

In curling, Canadians Jennifer Jones and Brad Jacobs led their teams to wins in round robin action.
