The suspects also fled prior to officers arriving. Police said witnesses saw a silver or white SUV fleeing the area.

Police and neighbours said the house was also targeted in a shooting on Sept. 6, when the house was shot at multiple times at around 6:35 a.m. There were no injuries reported at that time either.

“It’s important to understand these incidents are targeted between specific individuals. I can’t get into the details of that, but they are not random,” said media relations officer PC Lisa Moskaluk.

In total, Moskaluk there have been six shootings in the month of September at four different addresses in Vaughan. Two of the homes have been targeted twice, she said.

“All are being linked, and are considered as I say targeted,” Moskaluk said.

She noted one arrest has been made in one of the shootings that occurred Sept. 10 on Lady Angela Lane. A 23-year-old man is in custody.

Moskaluk confirmed there is relationship to the tow truck industry with one of the victims, but would not elaborate as an investigation is underway.

“These criminal groups, they’re not just one person. There is a larger criminal organization at play here,” she said.
