On Wednesday night, President Barack Obama unveiled a politically risky plan to reduce the U.S. deficit by $4-trillion over 12 years by cutting health care and defence while raising some taxes.
Obama’s proposal set the stage for the ideological and political fight that is sure to dominate the 2012 presidential and congressional campaign.
But as crucial as this proposal is to the Obama administration, the speech itself failed to grab the attention of Obama’s right-hand man, Vice President Joe Biden.
Cameras were rolling and captured Biden, who appears to be nodding off during the speech. Watch the video below.
