Calgary students make Google doodle semi-finals

CALGARY – Four Calgary students are fighting for their chance to have their art featured on Google’s website.

All four entered a contest from Google launched in October, asking participants to create a doodle depicting something they would like to invent.

Calgary’s Aydin Hirji, Sahil Brar, Lovepreet Singh Dhaliwal and Amy Wo have made it to the semi finals.

They are amongst thousands of students from kindergarten through Grade 12 who submitted their creations to the Doodle 4 Google Canada contest.

Not only will the winner have their art featured on Google.ca for a day, they’ll also receive a $10,000 scholarship and a $10,000 grant to their school.
