One person is dead after a crash involving a transit bus at King George Boulevard near 84th Avenue in Surrey Saturday morning, according to Transit Police.
Transit Police said a car collided with a TransLink bus at around 7:30 a.m.
Investigators say the vehicle crossed the centre line travelling north and struck the bus head on.
The driver, who was the only occupant of the car, died at the scene.
Mounties say there were passengers on the bus at the time of the crash. The passengers and the driver were taken to hospital as a precaution, but no injuries have been reported.
The area has been closed off as officials investigate the cause of the crash.
The victim has not been identified and the make and model of the car has not been released as next of kin hasn’t been notified.
