UPDATE: 13-year-old seriously injured during Alberta Winter Games training

CALGARY – A 13-year-old girl was rushed to hospital on Friday morning, after being injured on a ski hill during the Alberta Winter Games.

Officials say the freestyle skier was doing a slope-style training run at Mt. Norquay when she fell and hit her head.

She was rushed to hospital in Banff, then air lifted by STARS Air Ambulance to Calgary. She is listed in stable, non life-threatening condition.

The girl is from the Pincher Creek area.
