SAINTE-CROIX, Que. – The terrible family tragedy that shocked the Quebec towns of Sainte-Croix and Saint-Isidore over the weekend suffered yet another blow on Wednesday morning.
Authorities have confirmed that 11-year-old Béatrice Godin has died of her injuries in hospital.
She had been in critical condition since allegedly being attacked by her father over the weekend.
Quebec provincial police have confirmed that the prime suspect in the series of murders that also included Béatrice’s 13-year-old sister Medora, her mother Nancy Samson and her new husband, Benoît Daigle, is 54-year-old Martin Godin.
Godin remains in critical condition. The motive for the killings has not been confirmed.
