Television Jackass star Steve-O was arrested at Calgary airport on outstanding arrest warrants.
The TV stunt performer, whose name is Stephen Gilchrist Glover, 36, was arrested by Calgary police waiting for him at customs Sunday morning.
He was arrested on warrants for assault with a weapon stemming from an incident during a performance at the University of Calgary Dec. 31, 2003.
Police say the New Year’s Eve performance was disrupted when an audience member jumped up on stage and took a few swings at Glover. When security restrained the man, Glover allegedly hit him with an unknown weapon.
Other people were charged in the incident, police said.
Glover was arrested without incident, police say.
He was booked and released on $10,000 bail.
Glover was performing in Calgary last week at the Laugh Shop Comedy Club at the Blackfoot Inn.
